Philly 15th endorses Lisa Deeley and Omar Sabir for City Controller. This three-member bipartisan board of elected officials (only two of which can be Democrats) is in charge of elections and voter registration for the City of Philadelphia. The Commissioners set and enforce departmental policies to administer voter registration and conduct elections in accordance with federal and state voter registration and election laws.

Both candidates successfully navigated Philadelphia through the challenging and unprecedented 2020 presidential election that was impacted by COVID and extreme levels of scrutiny, and they have the right ideas about how to improve the electoral operation in the city.

They are running unopposed.
